In the last five years, the Mexican aerospace industry has experienced a
two-digit growth rate, enabling it to become a key supplier in the
global market. The number of aerospace companies established in Mexico
has tripled in the same period and exports have more than doubled.

There are over 190 aerospace companies in Mexico, including leading
firms such as Bombardier, Goodrich, Safran Group and Honeywell,
employing over 30,000 workers.

Foreign Direct Investment
According to report by AeroStrategy, a consultancy, Mexico received the
largest number of aerospace manufacturing investments by top OEM’s
between 1992 and 2008. It ranked Mexico sixth in R&D investments, just
below Russia, India, United States, United Kingdom and China.
